After several false starts, my competition entry for the latest 2000AD art comp, featuring one of my favourite characters from recent years: Titus Defoe. Picked up the trade recently, and have been gagging for the chance to draw him.
Might tweak the colours a bit more before submitting it - looks a little flat.
Not at all, looks really great love the eerie grave yard.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's very nice. The graveyard and silhouetted character seem almost Gorey-esque.
ReplyDeleteIts excellent - very much capturing that woodcut look you'd want for a period feel.
ReplyDeleteIts a bit late now but it'd also look impressive without the big floating head - a moody Hammer horror feel.
Thanks guys. Eerie, Gorey-esque and woodcut - happy with those descriptions! Yeah, the big floating head was the last addition, but I couldn't resist - love that iron mask. Makes him look almost like a protoype Restoration-era ABC Warrior.
ReplyDeleteYou say that in jest but...
ReplyDeleteAnyway nice quick tweak on the colour, they are both good but perhaps the other one has the edge.
LOVE IT! And great choice of character mate :)
ReplyDeleteYowsa! Thanks Leigh!
